Bone and Joint Care is equipped to treat all types of musculo-skeletal problems ranging from Trauma Surgery to Minimally Invasive Arthroscopy Surgery. The hospital also specilalises in surgery for joint replacements, sports medicine, ligament repair, knee surgery, spine surgery and physical therapy for rehabilitation.
It is estimated that one in every seven people has some form of bone, joint or Spine impairment.   Our caring team of physicians, nurses, physical therapists and other specialists work with patients at every stage of life:  children with congenital defects, trauma or handicaps; people with sports injuries; and older patients who may have osteoporosis, arthritis or hip fractures.
Each patient’s needs are unique, and every treatment plan is carefully tailored to meet every individual’s needs.  However the goal remains unchanged: to restore the highest level of functioning and independence possible, and to eliminate or minimize pain for each patient.

Joint Replacement or Arthroplasty
kneepainJoint Replacement surgeries also called arthroplasty, for arthritic patients are result oriented and rewarding. More and more patients are undergoing these surgeries in recent years as they produce a quick relief of pain and in addition, retain the normal function of the knee. The result is return to a better quality life and independent living. Apart from hip joint replacement and knee joint replacements, Suyash Hospital has facilities for shoulder joint replacement, elbow joint replacement, and arthroscopic surgeries.

Errors occur in component positioning and limb alignment using the conventional alignment jigs can be minimized through navigation instrumentation. Computer assisted surgery helps surgeons align the patient's bones and joint implants with a degree of accuracy not possible with naked eye.
These surgeries are done in a specially designed operation theater environment to minimize the infection rate. The world class equipments make our operation theater comparable to the best in India. Our doctors have received best training in foreign countries. We keep ourselves updated with the latest technologies and have been employing them here successfully for the benefits of those affected.
Joint replacement surgery is also known as arthroplasty, which is very common surgery performed successfully by our surgeons. In knee or hip replacement surgery, the artificial joint is made out of metal and plastic. In the case of joint replacement in the hand, the new joint is most commonly composed of silicone rubber or the patient's own tissues such as a portion of tendon.

Arthroscopy

Arthroscopy is surgical procedure, which is used to diagnose and treat problems within the joint. A small fiberoptic arthroscope is inserted into a joint through a small incision (surgical cut) in the skin. The fiberoptic arthroscope is approximately 5 mm in diameter consists of a small camera mounted at the tip of a narrow tube with a light source. The arthroscopic procedure can be viewed on a monitor by the operating team. The patient is put into local or general anesthesia. During the surgical procedure which is of about 30 minutes to an hour, the patient faces less risk and gets best result after the surgery. The arthroscopic surgery can help to identify the damaged tissue present in the bones. The most common type of arthroscopic surgery include removal of loose debris, trimming of damaged cartilage, removal or repair of a torn meniscus, and ligament reconstruction.
